One has to be cool in order to be successful on the job. Emotions are not talked about – especially not in a job interview. That’s a very common and current belief, notably in Germany.

So, you may as well verbally address your nervousness and your feelings. That appears sympathetic, authentic and human. And this will also help you to establish an emotional connection with your counterpart which in most cases is more critical for a successful interview than being professionally and rhetorically perfect.
